Statement of East Asian Bishops on the Crisis and Future of the Anglican Communion, Oct 2004

We, the undersigned Bishops of East Asia, meeting in Manila, Philippines, 6-12 October 2004, are deeply concerned with the ongoing crisis in, and the grave uncertainties and threats to the unity and continuity of, the Anglican Communion.  We feel duty bound for the whole Communion we all deeply love to express our pains and to unequivocally urge the following:

Statement of the Global South Primates, Nairobi, Kenya, 15 & 16 April 2004

As we meet, being acutely conscious of the current critical challenges we face as a Communion, we reaffirm our unswerving commitment to the historic and apostolic Christian Faith as revealed in the Holy Scriptures “once delivered to the saints” (Jude v.3), proclaimed and practised by the Anglican Communion over the centuries.

Statement of the Primates of the Global South in the Anglican Communion, 2 November 2003

As ECUSA has willfully disregarded the strong warnings given at Lambeth that such an action would “tear the fabric of the communion at its deepest level”, we can now have no basis whatsoever for any further confidence that ECUSA will pay any regard to the findings of the recently announced Commission set up by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
