THE ANGLICAN CHURCH OF KENYA
PRESS RELEASE
I have read Bishop Gladwin’s statement on arrival to England from his visit from Kenya with 20 others last week. I would wish to make it clear that when we heard that Bishop Gladwin after only a day’s stay in Kenya was a patron of Changing Attitude which advocates the full inclusion of gay and lesbian people at all levels in the church, we distanced ourselves from him and his group as this is where we differ. When we differ with people in Africa, we still give them hospitality but this does not mean that we agree with them. WE DO NOT.
In Kenya we have these gay and lesbian people in the community but we do not approve of what they are doing. We speak to them and give them pastoral care so that they may do the right thing. We do not however believe that men should marry men or women marry women. We believe in marriage between a man and a woman … (Lambeth 1998 Resolution 1.10)
I did not go further when speaking with Bishop Gladwin. We do not share his views as a patron of Changing Attitude. I have made no statement about whether we are in communion with him. We will wait for that to be done collectively by the Provincial Synod. But I can say that anyone advocating for the full inclusion of gays and lesbians in the leadership of the church cannot be in communion with the Province of Kenya because we have said categorically that we do not support that. They are not abiding with our stand so we cannot be in communion with them.
Signed
The Most Rev. Benjamin Nzimbi
ARCHBISHOP OF KENYA &
BISHOP OF ALL SAINTS CATHEDRAL DIOCESE

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
One again, the Global South shows the way!
Faithful Anglicans in the West look forwards to the Chuch of Kenya finally excommunicating this heretic bishop and fearlessly proclaiming the one and only truth of Christ!
We know that Nzimbi and Akinola will not betray us.

If there are gay and resbians people in kenya as the author of this atest to,what strategy is kenya putting in place!
These are the real issues that need a real plan than just condeming the practise.Over to you Kenya Anglicans..!

Nyogabi, How about practicing love and compassion?
Sinner, I am sorry but once again LOL. You can’t excommunicate a person not is not a member of your church. From logic 101: If ‘A’ then ‘B’: ‘A’ therefore ‘B’ is valid. ‘B’ therefore ‘A’ is not valid because ‘B’ is not sufficent for ‘A’.
An example: If person ‘A’ belongs to church ‘AA’ then person ‘A’ can be excommunicated from church ‘AA’ therefore person ‘A’ as a member of church ‘AA’ and can be excommunicated. It follows that if person ‘A’ is not a member of church ‘AA’ he can not be excummunicated. Get it?

Sinner:
I don’t think it is a time for rejoicing in any way. The Body of Christ is broken, for reasons which should be obvious to all, and it is our Christian duty to pray and be Christlike in the way we respond.
Not that any of us can change anything. But we need not lose our own soul in joining in the mud-slinging.
We keep praying that those entrusted with the leadership responsibilities, those who can make a difference - will find the wisdom and courage to lead His Church.

Courage is a word lost in all of this.
Apostle Paul would have done much more than let this drag on for all these years. Purging of leaven.
Another thing : The body of Christ is NOT broken. It can never be. Those who try to break it with lies and deceit were never in it to begin with…...

Re: #4:
I think Sinner is being sarcastic. If he is the same person I’ve seen posting elsewhere he is a revisionist who supports the homosexual-ordination cause.
