I find it very difficult to understand how a man can have sex with another man and prove that is God ordained. Let those who pratice same sex be allowed to do so in the secular world. They should not be hindered. Since the church gets its doctrine and teaching from the Bible - let it continue to do so. This is not homophobea. Gays have rights as any other human being - full rights - BUT in the secular world.

  2. Sinner Says:

Enoch - they cannot be reconciled.

The most important vote is the first one: that same-sex blessings are required by their church’s creed. That single decision removes them from Christ and Christanity. This is not a subject or debate - and thankfully, not one in which the Global South is at all complicit!

I look forwards to the swift and final denunciation of ACCanada from the Global South, and the rapid establishment of the North American provice for Anglicans who are also true to Christ.

    To Enoch & Sinner:
I am in total agreement with both of you and as an Anglican stuck in the mire of the Anglican Church of Canada and one who has already left one parish where the Parish Priest openly declared that he is a “Gay” man but is “Celibate” (yet he left a wife and 3 children to make his declaration) and then refused to leave his post as a Priest.  I could not retain membership in such a Parish and now, although I attend a parish where the Priest is a Born Again Spirit Filled Man, I will be finding it most difficult to hang on to the Anglican Church of Canada.  I implore the Global South or the Southern Cone, one or the other or Both to increase the speed at which you are working with the ANiC and Essentials Canada to help us out of this quagmire that our “wise men” and wise women have placed us in.  I guess I would prefer to call them wise, but not too intelligent.  I know I must forgive them for what they have done, and I now do so, however, this not mean that I have to stand idly by and accept false teachings and false doctrine.

  4. Sinner Says:

Greg, how true!  And how joyfully you will be welcomed back into the family of Christ!

Latest news is that Sydney diocese will not attend Lambeth, but will attend “an alternative meeting at the same time to plan further action to realign the communion!”

I have just read the good news that the ACC has finally defeated the motion of same sex blessing. Time has come for people who distort the Bible to be told in no uncertain terms that they are lost but God continues to love them. We have heard and seen how other religions have used their holy books to justify violence (forgive because I judge). But having worked in certain countries I have seen how human beings can use the Holy Book to justify their sinful nature. I am a sinner who is now under Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. But I will never use the Bible to justify my sin. Let all know that for Adam God created Eve. Let people remember how God punished Sodom and Gomora. Do people know where the workd ‘sodomy’ came from?
The ACC laity and Clergy both voted for blessing of the same sex union. Let also be known that in God it does not mean being in the majority is right. Indeed hell has more people than those in heaven - does it mean they right? Martin Luther once said ‘One man with God is in the Majority’. So if the whole of ECUSA and ACC can use the word of God to justify their stand but truth will always be there. Jesus was condemned by the majority who shouted ‘crucify him! Were they right?

The idea that the ACC finally defeated the SSB is true, however, when one considers that majority of Laity and Clergy passed the motion and it was defeated by the House of Bishops (21 Against; 19 For) only means a deferal until the next General Synod at which time there will be some new Bishops replacing retired Bishops and where will they come from?  From Dioceses that have elected them, from the majority laity and clergy who did not get their way at this GS.
This is only a slight bump in the road for the liberal minded of the ACC….they will have their way eventually on this point.  HOWEVER, note that they passed the motion on SSB not being core doctrine thereby leaving their doorway open for the Diocese of Westminster and indeed others to continue on in the path of destruction that is being forged.  We faithful here in Canada will still need direction from either the Global South or the Southern Cone and I am sure that such is not far off.  Please continue to pray for the faithful in the ECU and the ACC.
