ADV Congratulates Bishop-Elect John Guernsey
“We eagerly anticipate the formal consecration of Bishop-elect Guernsey. The new role Rev’d Guernsey has been called to fill underscores the growing movement towards maintaining orthodox Anglican beliefs here in the U.S. We praise the Church of Uganda for electing such a strong candidate to oversee its congregations in the States. Rev’d Guernsey is a bold man of Christ who has been integral in providing support for parishes that wish to uphold the sacred authority of Scripture and practice orthodox Anglicanism. ADV looks forward to continuing to strengthen its relationship with Rev’d Guernsey.”
Church of Nigeria Mission to Congo - The journey so far...
In the year 2005, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) extended its mission outreach to Congo, one of the African war-torn countries. This was in a swift response to the Macedonian call by the Anglican Church of Congo to come over to help develop and build self-supporting churches in the two provinces in the Republic – Kasia East and West…

Statement: Archbishop of the West Indies
The Archbishop supports the decision of the Province of Kenya to provide resident Episcopal oversight for the clergy and congregations in the United States who placed themselves under the jurisdiction of the Archbishop of
Kenya after they had arrived at the conclusion that the Episcopal Church no longer offered them the assurance of continuity with “The faith once delivered to the saints.” The provision of adequate pastoral care and episcopate oversight constitutes a deliberate and intentional effort to provide stability in an environment in which Anglicanism is being severely tested and challenged.
Archbishop Gomez brings ‘Global South’ perspective to Diocese of Central Florida
“If we are to exist as a Catholic Church we must have order” that finds is strength not in “rules and regulations” or in pleas to parochial polity, but in faithfulness “to the Gospel,” Archbishop Gomez said. While the divisions within the Communion over homosexuality arose from different ways of interpreting the Bible, he argued the threatened collapse of the Communion lay in a dispute over how the churches order themselves in response to the conflict.
Council Rejects Primates’ Pastoral Plan; Insists on Diocesan Accession Clause

Bishop Wallace Benn welcomes consecration of Dr Atwood (from Anglican Mainstream):
“I am delighted to hear of the proposed consecration of Canon Dr Bill Atwood by the Primate of Kenya which seems to be an entirely reasonable response to the current wayward reaction of TEC from the standard of teaching of the Anglican Communion. I wish him well and God’s richest blessing on his ministry.”
The Rt. Rev. Jack Leo Iker, Bishop of Fort Worth:
“I am delighted with the news today from the Primate of Kenya that my good friend and colleague, Canon Bill Atwood, is to be consecrated as a missionary bishop and will be ministering to those here in the States who have been alienated from The Episcopal Church in recent years. He has the heart of an evangelist and has been the key, pivotal figure in the realignment of worldwide Anglicanism. The rejection of the Dar es Salaam proposed pastoral scheme by the TEC House of Bishops will lead to further extraordinary efforts such as this to extend episcopal care to faithful Anglicans who believe they have no alternative but to separate from the church they have loved and served for so many years.”

Girding for battle, hoping for change
In May, Bishop Martyn Minns became head of the Convocation of Anglicans in North America, a conservative group with ties to Nigeria. Minns, 64, led 11 Virginia congregations to break ties with the Episcopal Church last year. For 16 years, he has been rector of the historic Truro Church, where George Washington’s father once served on the vestry. Now, Minns prepares for a battle with the denomination he left behind.

AMIA precedence? - Former Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey Offers his Thoughts
This, of course, was before 2003 when the Episcopal Church clearly signalled its abandonment of Communion norms, in spite of warnings from the Primates that the consecration of a practising homosexual bishop would ‘tear the fabric of the Communion’. It is not too much to say that everything has changed in the Anglican Communion as a result of the consecration of Gene Robinson…
