“The decision of our Bishops not to attend the Lambeth Conference in 2008 is the culmination of ten years of thought, prayer and action. We have played our part in challenging false teaching and practice, always hoping that those who have flouted the strong position taken by the last Lambeth Conference would turn back in repentance...” Archbishop Peter Jensen, in his address at the Synod (18th Feb 2008). Well done “good stewards,” as it is the duty of every faithful Christian to take, “part in challenging false teaching and practice, always hoping that those who have flouted the strong position taken by the last Lambeth Conference would turn back in repentance...” Archbishop Peter Jensen.
The process by way of which committed Christians have started challenging false teaching and practice of the institutional church in response to the call of awareness by the Global South leadership is commendable.
The Church belongs to the Lord and the time of its recovery from the hands of Satan (using the offices of the Church for his purpose)is at hand. I request all believers to speak out their living faith and be on their knees for the final battle.
We have some good and encouraging examples from the Church in Canada,USA and the whole world. Count all those whom we cannot see now, but are with the leadership of the Global South in spirit and faith. By June when GAFCOM meets, most of the Christian world would be aware of the importance of solid Bible based testimony, rejecting the extra-scriptural practice of the institutional AC.
